According to the official tournament fixture released by the Premier Soccer League (PSL), TelOne FC will host Triangle United FC at Mandava Stadium in Zvishavane, while Agama FC take on Manica Diamonds FC at Ngoni Stadium. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 1:00 PM.
The winners of the two preliminary matches will advance to the first round, where they will join the remaining 14 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League clubs in the battle for one of Zimbabwean football's most prestigious trophies.
The first-round draw is expected to be conducted in Harare on Tuesday ahead of the commencement of the main competition.
The Chibuku Super Cup, sponsored by Delta Beverages through its Chibuku brand, remains one of the country's biggest football competitions, offering clubs an opportunity to compete for silverware and a place in continental football.
Defending champions Dynamos will begin the defence of the title they have dominated in recent years after winning the competition three consecutive times since 2023.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, the Premier Soccer League encouraged supporters to attend the matches and support their teams as another exciting knockout campaign begins.
"The 2026 Chibuku Super Cup kicks off on Wednesday, 5 August, with two preliminary round fixtures. The winners will progress to the first round alongside the other Premier Soccer League clubs."
Knockout football has traditionally produced memorable upsets, and both TelOne and Triangle United will be aiming to secure an early advantage as they seek to progress in the competition.
TelOne will be looking to make home advantage count at Mandava Stadium against a determined Triangle United side eager to return to winning ways in cup football.
Meanwhile, Agama FC face a stern test against Castle Lager Premier Soccer League outfit Manica Diamonds, who will be hoping to avoid an early exit and continue their quest for a maiden Chibuku Super Cup title.
Football analysts expect highly competitive encounters, with both ties presenting lower-ranked sides an opportunity to upset more established opponents and advance to the next stage.
The preliminary round also serves as an opportunity for clubs to build momentum before the main draw, where the competition intensifies with the entry of the remaining Premier Soccer League teams.
