Two Killed in Mberengwa Road Accident
Midlands Provincial community relations liaison officer, Inspector Mahoko has confirmed the death of two women who died on the spot after a vehicle they were travelling in overturned along the Ngungumbane–Mataga Road on the night of January 24, 2026.
According to Inspector Mahoko, the accident occurred at around 10pm when a Mazda Demio veered off the road near the 9-kilometre peg while heading towards Mataga Growth Point. The vehicle overturned several times.
The car was being driven by 27-year-old Courage Sigodo of Fortune Park, Mberengwa, who had three passengers on board. Two female passengers, Emily Charidza (33) of Mataga Growth Point and Constance Manan (29) of Fortune Park, died at the scene.
