Midlands Raids 78 Drug Bases in Anti-Substance Abuse Crackdown

Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Owen Ncube, says 78 drug bases have been raided across the province as government intensifies its crackdown on drug and substance abuse, with authorities reporting notable progress in efforts to curb the growing scourge.

Minister Ncube says law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders are continuing to work together to dismantle drug networks and protect communities from the harmful effects of substance abuse.

He says the ongoing operations reflect government’s commitment to restoring social order and safeguarding the future of young people in Midlands Province.
