The Vice Chancellor of Midlands State University, Professor V. N. Muzvidziwa, has encouraged first-year students at the Zvishavane Campus to actively participate in their academic programmes.
Addressing first-year students during a welcome programme held at Block L19, Professor V. N. Muzvidziwa said the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Engineering and Geosciences are in the business of creating solutions and shaping the future through teaching and practical learning.
Using the media field as an example, Professor Muzvidziwa said students studying journalism, radio and television are in the business of creating, urging them to actively participate in practical learning and make the most of the opportunities available at the university.
The address formed part of the University’s orientation programme for first-year students at the Zvishavane Campus, which aims to welcome the new intake and introduce them to university life, academic expectations and the support services available throughout their studies.
