Speaking at the event, Trust Chairperson and former university council chairperson Dube said Dr Msipa believed in serving others with integrity and purpose.
Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of Vice Chancellor Professor Ngonidzashe Muzvidziwa, the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Infrastructure and Campus Development Prof G. Manyatera applauded the large turnout and the spirit of unity shown by participants in supporting education.
Participants competed in 5 kilometre, 10 kilometre and 21 kilometre race categories, demonstrating strong community support for the scholarship programme which assists academically gifted students who face financial challenges.
This year’s event was particularly significant as it marked the 15th anniversary of the trust and ten years since the passing of its founder, Cephas George Msipa.
