Gweru City Council has warned residents in several suburbs that they may experience low water pressure or temporary water cuts following ongoing repair works along Sunningdale Road in Southdowns.

In a public notice issued on March 15, the Gweru city council said the disruptions are part of efforts to isolate water pipe bursts along the road. Suburbs likely to be affected include Ivene, Southdowns, Southview, Lundi Park, Zambezia Industrial Sites, Little Eden, Tatenda Park and Mkoba 9, 10 and 11.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling along Sunningdale Road have also been urged to exercise caution and use alternative routes. A section of the road from the corner of Sunningdale and Wentworth up to the Sunningdale Junction has been temporarily closed to allow repair works to take place.
