Water levels in major dams across Zimbabwe’s Midlands Province remain encouraging, with several reservoirs nearing or reaching full capacity, according to the latest update from Zimbabwe National Water Authority as of 27 April 2026.

In the Midlands, Sebakwe Dam is currently sitting at 100 percent, while Insiza Dam has reached 89.5 percent, reflecting a strong recovery following a good rainy season. These levels are expected to significantly support irrigation activities, domestic water supply, and livestock sustenance in the province. However, Inyankuni Dam presents a point of concern, standing at just 31.3 percent, indicating uneven water distribution across the region.

Nationally, dam levels average 93.4 percent, signaling improved water availability across the country.
