Police in Midlands Province are investigating a murder case following the death of a 21-year-old man who was allegedly stabbed during a dispute at Mkhayeni Business Centre in Silobela, Kwekwe.

The deceased, identified as Hillary Nyevera of Macebo Village, reportedly sustained stab wounds after intervening in a fight at Rocks Night Club on the 24th of April this year. Police say a 42-year-old suspect from Nkomozabo Village, Chief Malisa, has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Nyevera initially received treatment at Kwekwe District Hospital before his condition deteriorated days later. He later died upon admission at Gweru General Hospital.

The suspect is expected to appear in court facing murder charges once investigations are complete. Police have urged members of the public to avoid violence and resolve disputes peacefully to prevent unnecessary loss of life.
