Police in Midlands Province are investigating the sudden death of a 33-year-old man who was found dead at his home in Loreto Business Centre, Silobela after allegedly spending the previous day consuming alcohol.
The deceased has been identified as Talent Muferi of Mpala Complex. Police say Muferi allegedly spent the day drinking undiluted brandy before he was escorted home by a friend after becoming heavily intoxicated.
Midlands Provincial Community Relations Liaison Officer Inspector Mahoko says Muferi was discovered dead the following morning, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are continuing.
Police have urged members of the public to drink responsibly and avoid drug and substance abuse to prevent avoidable loss of life.
